First Race Night: Tuesday, January 6th

The first race is rapidly approaching! Here’s what to do on the first race night:

Every week, races start at 7:00pm so give yourself plenty of time to get to your mountain, get ready, take some warm up runs, and look at the course! On the first night, please arrive by 6:00pm.

Tickets, Check-in, and Bibs

Look for a separate ticket window outside the Customer Service Center (it’s a white office building) with a welcome sign for racers.

Purchase your lift ticket for the night here and bring it upstairs to the ready room where you’ll find Race Director Gregg Bergmiller at a table on the left side, in front of the windows.

Once you show your ticket, you’ll be able to check-in, get your bib, and add your name to the scoreboard.

Purchase your lift ticket from the mountain ticket window.

If you’re also a CSC member, be sure to show your CSC card to receive a $6.00 lift ticket discount!

Once you have your ticket, look for Race Director Jessica Moore at a check-in table in the bar of the Sundown Lodge

Your bib is your number for the entire season, so remember to bring it each week and return it to your captain or the Race Director at the last race you will be attending. Your bib color also indicates which course you’ll be racing on each week. There are two parallel courses, one red and one blue, and they switch sides each week.

New Members

If you received a “Free Guest Race” card from one of our members at the Warren Miller Screening, please bring it and give it to the Race Director! (Note: you will still need to purchase a lift ticket.)

Race Procedure

Don’t be late for your run! Racers go in bib-number order. One course starts at #1 and the other course starts at #150, so just because you have a high number doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be running later in the evening.

Once all the racers complete the first run, the second run begins following the same procedure. You can check out your times for each run at a scoreboard at the bottom of the course. Only your best time counts for the night.

Après Ski

Join your teammates and other league members in the lodge after the race for some food, drinks, and the weekly racer raffle!
